Overview

For over 25 years, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) at Torrens University has been launching the careers of thousands of hotel management graduates in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. What was started in 1991 is now recognised by the industry as the number one hotel management school in Australia (QS Ranking, 2019) and in the Asia Pacific region (Kantar 2020).

BMIHMS offers Bachelor of Business Degree in International Hotel & Resort Management. Courses are delivered across two custom designed campuses. Undergraduate students study at our applied learning residential campus in Leura in the Blue Mountains, undertake two six-month industry placements and complete business subjects in their third year at the Sydney Town Hall Campus.

BMIHMS also provides Masters Degree Programs, which includes International Hotel Management across our Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide campus and one six-month industry placement and International Hotel Leadership fully online and tailored to your lifestyle.

Accommodation & Dining

Accommodation

Students live in twin share hotel-style rooms, which contain a television, a private en-suite bathroom, a telephone line and 24/7 internet access. Rooms are cleaned weekly and all linen is provided. Single rooms with en-suite are limited, subject to availability and incur additional costs.

On-campus Dining

During residential terms all main meals are provided, three times a day. The campus offers a choice of tasty and healthy dining venues: Chambers, an à-la-carte fine dining restaurant; Cascades an international style fusion bistro; and Cookie’s, an indoor/ outdoor café. Light snacks are available from the coffee cart and café three evenings a week and wine can be purchased with dinner, where Responsible Service of Alcohol is strictly followed.

    • Located on 6 hectares of landscaped private gardens, 1.5 hours from Sydney, the residential Leura Campus has well-appointed accommodation, modern teaching facilities and a real hotel.
  2. Sydney
    • Our non-residential campus, located right in the heart of the city’s CBD, functions as an executive business centre where 3rd year and postgraduate students complete their studies in purpose built, state of the art lecture rooms and teaching facilities, with wireless Internet and a modern well-equipped library on site.
